Transitions

I realize that it has been way more than a day since I posted here and I am still going through transitions which may keep me from steady postings, but, as no one but me reads this, it doesn't really cause any grief at this point. Hopefully there will be a day that this site is used to it's potential and I will be missed if I miss posting. That day is still in the future and I am still willing and eager to help answer any questions you may wish to pose, in private if preferred.

A gift from Simpleology

I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.

I'm back

After a short hiatus, I have returned to posting. I am currently working on a 45 Day Challenge which will see me painting every day and creating enough paintings to have a showing. My intention on the challenge is to complete these paintings and find a gallery where I can display and sell them, preferably within the 45 days. I also intend to set up my web site to display and sell my art, as well. The 45 day challenge site is a safe supportive environment for pursuing ones passion, a goal you wish you had achieved but just couldn't quite motivate yourself to accomplish. All of this has kept me busy.
It doesn't appear that anyone has made any use of my offer to answer questions. Any questions ...... about any topic. I cannot promise to know all the answers, but I will give my best shot at providing useful information. Think of me as a 'Dear Abby' type of source.
I have a wide variety of experiences and interests and I would love to be of service to the world. One of the most rewarding things about being alive is the opportunity to share, to give and to be of service. It is part of out primary purpose for living in this body and this earth. There are many beliefs about life and purpose I can and will be sharing here.
For now, I will say good night and I will come back to post some more tomorrow.

Live every day to it's fullest,
Mom

Sharing

The process of sharing does not always come easily. Knowing what the say when there are no questions is a bit tricky, but, I will begin to share with more about myself.

I have had the privilege to live in many different parts of Canada and a few places in the US over the first 28 years of my life. I have travelled to Europe once and Great Britain several times and hope to do both again (several times). I have now lived in the same place for almost as long as I was a moving gypsy. I grew roots when I met my husband.

We share an interest in the theatre and have many years of backstage experience designing and painting sets (in my case) and lighting (in his). Because of this extensive involvement with theatre, I have amassed a significant amount of knowledge in that area, although I don't expect to get too many questions about it. I am open to any, however.

Other areas of interest where I  might be helpful involve health and fitness of spirit, mind and body. I have been a student of living healthy for much of my life. I will, over time, share many sites which I have found to have useful information.

I will also share tips from the kitchen, as I have been amazed at the number of young  (and older) people who do not understand the basics of cooking simple and healthy meals. Cooking philosophy  has a science behind it. I will go into the philosophy of cooking as I add more posts.

For now, I am going for an evening walk with my husband. One of the many ways I enjoy keeping healthy. It is good for the body and the relationship.

Live every day to its fullest,
Mom

At Mom-answers.com, I am hoping to provide a forum for questions you might want to ask Mom but might be uncomfortable about doing so, or you are unable to, for many possible reasons. I will not judge any question, but I will answer to my best ability, as I too am fallible. I am open to any area of life, and as far as I am able, I will try to provide a personal response.

I will share a little bit about myself. I am a happily married Mother of 3, now grown-up, young adults. I am proud to say that all three are amazing people and count among my best friends. I have many child related tricks and parenting skills to share with new Moms and babysitters. I have gone through the full spectrum of ages and had plenty of opportunity to develop coping skills. Every child is unique and comes with their own set of learning curves, both for themselves and their parents.

I have also had the good fortune of being exposed to many home-crafts  and would love to share the knowledge I have acquired over the years. I worked as a tailor for 10 years and am able to sew my own clothes, as well as, create many household items. My eldest daughter is a very proficient seamstress in her own right and designs and creates beautiful quilts, so if I don't have the answer to a question in that area, I am sure I can acquire the answer.

I am an excellent cook and would love to share tips for making easy healthy meals for the whole family. It is our habit to have as many members of the family as are available weekly for a family dinner (sometimes exceeding 10 at the table). I can tell you that this is not always easy, in that I have a wide variety of different eating styles at the table. I have learned to adapt meals to feed anyone from heavy meat eaters to vegan and never have anyone leave the table hungry or disappointed.

I am an artist, painting both personal wall art and full scenic backdrops and sets. I am a designer in home design and theatre set design, as well as, graphic design.  I have designed logos, posters and advertisements while working on several community boards.

I have had a wide variety of life experiences and opportunities and would love to share any knowledge I have with anyone desiring to know. Ask me questions of any sort and I will make every effort to answer your questions.

I hope this provides an introduction to my site and a starting point for discussion.

Live every day to it's fullest,
Mom
